Harriman Associates.

Harriman provides design/engineering services to educational, historical, and commercial buildings.

In 1995-96, we developed an award-winning media relations campaign for the recently completed high school -- a one-of- a-kind facility that incorporates many innovative learning opportunities. We decided the best way to attract media interest in the building was to develop a media kit that provided background information on each interesting 'story.' The releases, background information, and photographs were contained in a plastic student bookbag.

As a result, over 10 national publications, as well as many local publications, ran articles. As an added bonus, local radio/TV stations ran segments on the new school, and in late 1996, Hillary Rodham Clinton visited the school on a visit to Maine.

In 1996, the Fuessler Group and Harriman Associates won national and local communications awards from the Society for Marketing Professional Services and the Connecticut Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.

We continue to work with Harriman on various media relations initiative.

Montgomery Watson

Montgomery Watson is a global environmental engineering firm with 3,200 employees in over 30 countries. Over a 10-year period, we worked with this firm providing a wide range of services. We have written over 100 major technical articles, op-ed pieces, and hundreds of press releases. The goal of this program is to maintain visibility in key client-read publications and to position the firm as a leading expert in all of its markets. Our efforts were focused both nationally and internationally.

National Pro Trust.

Two law partners had opened a sports management business out of their office in Massachusetts. Working as both law partners and sports agents, the two lawyers made an interesting story. They turned to the Fuessler Group to help them tell it.

Because their law practice was regional, the partners felt that local publicity was most important. An article query to key editors led to articles in the Boston Globe (South Weekly), Boston Business Journal (Emerging Business), Brockton Enterprise, Easton Journal, and the Massachusetts Lawyer's Weekly.

George Wittenberg, Artist

George is an architect, urban planner, artist and inveterate traveler, who has turned his love of drawing into an artistic endeavor called Postcard Art (visit his Web site: www.postcard-art-gallery.com). He turned to the Fuessler Group to help him publicize his artwork and his Web site. We developed a media kit that targeted travel, airline, art, and gourmet publications with his unique story. Our goal was to get stories in each of these categories. Although the campaign is in its initial stages, stories are scheduled to appear in airline and art magazines. Sales and visits to his Web site have gone up.

Einhorn Yaffee Prescott

We have worked with EYP since 1991 on a broad range of marketing communications activities, including media relations. Over that time we have written hundreds of press releases and placed over a hundred articles in key client-read publications and market-specific magazines. The focus of EYP's media relations effort is to position the firm as a thoughtful and experience A/E firm that helps clients solve unusual problems. Efforts are under way to raise the firm's design reputation.

New England Electric System (now National Grid)

Work for the New England Electric System (now National Grid) and its subsidiaries involved a wide range of marketing communications projects, including crisis communications planning, a corporate image video, project-related community relations, collateral and trade show program development, image surveys for various powerplants, and media relations.

Our media relations efforts focused on raising visibility for NEES's many environmental initiatives in the trade press and regional media. We developed a backgrounder kit on the firm's various environmental projects and worked with many media outlets to get the utility's story told. We were also involved in leading media relations efforts for the country's largest repowering project in Rhode Island at a NEES facility.
